Altos de Antigua is a 250-acre community located in the hamlet of La Palma, Puriscal, on the paved main highway from San Jose to Parrita (beach town).  Its name was inspired by the spectacular views from up high, thus the Spanish word “Altos” and by the architectural Spanish Colonial style of its houses, reminiscent of the city of Antigua Guatemala.  The nearest city is Santiago de Puriscal, located 18 Kms. north-east, which has all amenities including a new hospital.

The altitude is 1,000 meters, giving it mild temperatures between 65 and 80 F degrees and soft, cool breezes.

This development is touted as an “upper scale” yet affordable community by local tour operators.  The infrastructure is well engineered and maintained, paying close attention to quality and aesthetic appeal, with the purpose of increasing property value for the owners.  The natural wilderness is preserved and is abundant with flora and fauna. 

 

 

 

 

Power and water are provided to the lot boundaries.  The abundant water is provided through the local AYA, giving the development its “spring water on tap”.
